PORTS OF CALL

FORT LAUDERDALE

Fort Lauderdale people have been flocking to Fort Lauderdale's beaches for decades. And with good reason. Fort Lauderdale Beach is a two-mile strip of beautiful beach featuring the recently renovated Promenade, which offers all sorts of bars, restaurants and shops. Fort Lauderdale lies along the Atlantic Ocean at the mouth of the New River, 25 miles north of Miami. Its warm tropical weather attracts many people throughout the year. For sun-worshippers, the city has six miles of beaches. There are also many recreational waterways with extensive boating facilities, access to every conceivable watersport, a variety of fascinating museums and trendy restaurants, and an array of entertainment venues.

Coco Cay

Surrounded by the gentle, translucent waters of the Bahamas chain lies the secluded island of Coco Cay. With its white-sand beaches and spectacular surroundings, Coco Cay is a wonderland of adventure. Reserved exclusively for Royal Caribbean guests, this tropical paradise has recently been updated with new aquatic facilities, nature trails and a ton of great places to just sit back, relax and enjoy a tropical drink.

While you're on Coco Cay don't miss the opportunity to take an exhilarating ride in the skies on a parasailing adventure. Soar 400 feet above the island and take in the spectacular scenery. You'll get a bird's-eye view of Coco Cay as well as the surrounding islands.

Take an adventure down the coast of Coco Cay aboard a waverunner, our most popular activity. Fly past Great Stirrup Cay Lighthouse, Slaughter Harbor and Starfish Alley. Enjoy Caylanas Aqua Park, a fun-filled floating playground.
Spend the day relaxing in a hammock on the beach and enjoy our island-style seaside barbecue.

While you're on the island, give snorkeling a try and check out the beautiful coral reefs, colorful tropical fish and sunken wrecks.

This private island doesn't have any restaurants or shops, but our private beach offers mixed and frozen drinks that are out of this world.

Ernest Hemingway made wild, colorful Key West his home, and you will want to do the same. Home to modern-day adventurers, artists and poets, the island's charming Old Town teems with restaurants, bars and unique shops. Add pristine coral reefs, coconut palms and a laid-back attitude that's truly contagious, and it's easy to see why so many visitors to Key West never leave.

Enjoy the pleasures of a glass-bottom boat on a unique and informative eco-tour of the only living coral reef in the continental United States. It's home to over 300 species of fish, which complete the colorful and intriguing seascape. The boats are specially designed to provide maximum viewing with minimum stress to the delicate reef environment.

Visit the Museum of Art and History at the Custom House, a "must-see" when in Key West. Take a traditional trolley tour through historic Key West. Discover the real Key West as you make your way through the lazy back streets on a bike-tour adventure. Board the schooner Liberty for a relaxing sail around Key West Harbor.
Take a stroll through Key West's famed historic homes and gardens. Admire Casa Antigua, the former residence of Ernest Hemingway. Built in 1931, it was once a hotel, then was later rebuilt as a private home. It contains the largest courtyard in Key West.
Marvel at the priceless treasures on a visit to the Mel Fisher Maritime Heritage Museum. Absorb the local charm on a stroll down Duval Street, lined with quaint shops, cafés and restaurants.

Kayak through the nearby canals and observe many species of bird and fish, maybe even a manatee. Snorkel the clear tropical waters, swimming with colorful and exotic marine life at the only living coral reef in the continental United States. Learn the intricacies of racing a catamaran as you compete in an actual yacht race - the Key West Regatta. This fun ride is a real rush as you try to outrun your opponents.
