Ben & Michelle - Our Story...

We met while interning in South Africa . Our paths crossed as we were both studying the effects of the changing migration patterns of ancient elephants in Kruger National Park . We only met once that summer, but neither could get the memory of that first meeting out of our minds. A few months, later our paths crossed again in Cape Town and we started dating. Even when we first met, we had so much in common that we could just talk non-stop for hours and hours. And the rest is history. After the wedding, we will reside in Boston , Massachusetts .

Wedding Day Plans

Our wedding ceremony will take place in “The Nairobi Village" at the San Diego Zoo.
( located near the Animal Care Center )
Date:   February 9, 2003
Time:  2:00 pm
A reception will follow at the San Diego Country Club, 88 L Street , Chula Vista .

Honeymoon Plans

In 1975, a fence was built to block the ancient elephant migration route between South Africa and Mozambique. The fence is being removed to create the largest wildlife reserve in Africa . The old migration route ire-opening is just part of a massive game translocation program. As more sections of the 75-mile fence get removed, it's just a matter of time before elephants start re-living their seasonal migration. We want to be a part of this special event. Our honeymoon will include 7 days in South Africa near Africa's largest Wildlife Refuge, the new Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park .

To Our Friends & Family

“We want to thank each and everyone one of you who are helping to make this special event happen. We couldn't have found a more special place to express our love for each other or a more perfect travel destination to start our lives together. Again, thanks to everyone for helping to make our dream vacation a reality" – Benjamin & Michelle
