Our Land Events are invitation-only parties for the "Seasoned Traveler" and attempt to simulate the pampering you'll experience on board. A Royal Breakfast (for Wedding Planners)
Did you know that Garland Gourmet Truffles in Hillsborough, NC is the only successful commercial grower of Perigord Truffles this side of the Atlantic Ocean? Garland's orchard is located in the Piedmont section of North Carolina. Since the climate and altitude are similar to France's Perigord region, Garland and his helpful hound, Chewey, harvest approximately 30-45 lbs. of this black gold from November to February each year. Mrs. Garland sent us a recipe for truffle omelets. Come join us for breakfast and try our rendition of this tasty treat. No need to get out of your pajamas, just hop in your car and drive on over for breakfast. Our menu includes mouthwatering truffle omelets, smoked sausages, fresh fruit and Croatian dessert bread.

The business lunch is slowly returning to the American scene. Sit down, relax and let our personal chef prepare a gourmet lunch for you while we present a short multimedia presentation on shipboard conference and meeting planning.
13Summer Splash (for World Wayfarers)
This is our "high season" party. Join our staff and a "few hundred of our closest friends" for a sampling of fine wines, gourmet food, and stimulating conversation.
30Halloween Bash (Ghouls Night Out, Kids welcome!)
There are many hidden treasures in North Carolina. Tom Ferguson of Durham Catering is one of these. Come join us for what Esquire and Food and Wine magazines consider world class cuisine. This is a party not to be missed (Tom's famous crab cakes with basil aioli are worth the trip, alone).
